The Timmins area is the perfect place for that summer getaway. We have some of the best campgrounds in Ontario. Make this your opportunity to enjoy an outdoor wilderness experience. There are three Provincial Parks within a short commute from Timmins. Reservations can be made online by visiting the links. Kettle Lakes Provincial Park has 22 spring fed lakes and offers overnight camping, beaches, paddling, angling and a variety of summer programs. Ivanhoe Lake Provincial Park offers a long sandy beach with warm shallow water. This park is a popular spot for family oriented activities. Fishing is usually quite good along the Ivanhoe River. Greenwater Provincial Park is another boreal forested area with 26 kettle lakes formed when glaciers receded. Melting blocks of glacier ice resulted in these unusual "fluvioglacial landforms". Enjoy peace and tranquility as you embrace the quiet serenity.
